After almost a wait of two long years, we will finally be able to witness Guddu Pandit avenging the death of his wife (Sweety Gupta) and brother (Bablu Pandit) (or that’s what we hope at least happens). After the first season ended on a cliffhanger, fans have been waiting eagerly for the second part to know what fate holds for Kaleen bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi) and his son Munna (Divyendu Sharma). One of the most anticipated Indian web-series will begin streaming soon, here’s everything you need to know before Mirzapur 2 releases:
WHEN AND WHERE TO WATCH MIRZAPUR 2?
Karan Anshuman and Gurmeet Singh-directed Mirzapur 2 is releasing on Amazon Prime Video and if you are a Prime member you can easily watch the series on the streaming platform. Mirzapur 2 will begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video on October 23 (Friday).
WHAT HAPPENED IN MIRZAPUR SEASON 1?
Kaleen Bhaiya aka Akhandanand Tripathi is a local crime lord in Mirzapur who runs the illegal trade of guns and opium. He hires brothers Guddu (Ali Fazal) and Bablu Pandit (Vikrant Massey) to oversee his illegal gun business. Though initially, things look pretty good for the brothers because they fair pretty well in the jobs that is assigned to them. But the jealous and conniving son of Kaleen Bhaiya, Munna, doesn’t approve of their rise and plot against the brothers. Munna’s relationship with the Pandit brothers sours even more after Sweety (Munna’s love interest) chooses to marry Guddu over him.
On the other hand, Munna is not very happy with his father’s overbearing attitude as well and decides to kill him. When his murder attempt fails, he frames Guddu and Bablu for the conspiracy. Furious Kaleen Bhaiya, upon knowing that the duo are responsible for his condition, orders Munna to kill them. What follows is something that the viewers were not ready for. Munna kills Bablu and Sweety but Guddu escapes somehow.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN MIRZAPUR 2?
Guddu Pandit went into hiding with his family after the fateful night but in season 2 he will be back to avenge the death of his family members. Mind you, he is not alone in this, Sweety’s sister Golu (Shweta Tripathi) and Guddu’s sister (Harshita Gaur) is also in this together. We also watched in the trailer that Guddu plans not just to take revenge from Kaleen Bhaiya and Munna, but he also eyes the throne of Mirzapur and wants to snatch it away from them. In the trailer of Mirzapur season 2, we have also been introduced to a set of new characters. Guddu will have to deal with more than one enemy because Sharad Shukla is also seeking revenge from him for the death of Rati Shukla.
